Transaction
Overview
This report lists transaction detail for all non-payroll related expenses for the current month.
1. Header Section
The Header Section provides identifying information about the Sponsored Program from SAP Grant Master Data such as:
2. Transaction Columns
A. Sponsored Class
- First column on the Transaction report
- High level group that combines similar G/L accounts
- Total for “class” ties to the sponsored summary “current period” column
B. G/L Account
- Second column on the Transaction report
- Grouped and Subtotaled by “class”.
C. Item Text
- Third column on the Transaction report
- Provides detailed text concerning transaction.
D. Vendor
- Fourth column on the Transaction report
- Field shows Text only
- The vendor field may be blank based on transaction type. Vendor will populate for Purchase Orders, but will be blank for many other transaction types including procurement card purchases and non-payroll cost transfers.

F. Posting Date
- Sixth column on the Transaction report
- This field shows the date the transaction posted in SAP.
G. Current Period Amount
- Seventh column of the Transaction report
- This column shows the amount of the transaction. The column heading will have the month the transaction posted (e.g. December 2016).
3. Sub-Report Subtotals
The example below shows how to reconcile the summary report to the transaction detail report by comparing the summarized totals from the detail report to the current period expenses on the summary report.

This report has omitted several items to provide the user with pertinent data elements to properly reconcile the non-payroll transactions.
